All Are Welcome
We are an Open and Affirming church. Open and Affirming (ONA) is the United Church of Christ’s (UCC) designation for congregations which make a public covenant of welcome into their full life and ministry to persons of all sexual identities, gender identities, and gender expressions.
Connect
Connecting with each other and creating fellowship and friends is very important here at Church of the Savior (COTS). There are many ways we build connections and grow personal relationships. Please consider joining us as we travel life’s path together.
Christian Education
We value our time spent together in study and exploration of the Christian faith. Learning is a life-long passion for most of us here at COTS, and by studying together we accomplish more than we can alone. We offer Sunday School for Children and Adults that meets Sunday Mornings 9:30-10:30AM.
Missions and Fellowship Opportunities
Here are some of the ways we serve and support our neighbors, whether they are across the street or across the globe.
Backpack Ministry sends food home for kids from the local elementary school so they aren’t hungry over the weekend.
Foster Kindness prepares boxes full of clothes for newly-placed foster children.
RESULTS works to end poverty through education, accessible health care and financial services.
In addition to our weekly worship and missions, our congregation comes together for fellowship at special occasions during the year.
Our fellowship traditions include:
Quarterly Potluck Lunch: We enjoy a potluck after church once a quarter before our congregational business meetings. Visitors are always welcome to stay for lunch (attending the meeting is optional).
Agape Luncheon: On the Sunday before Thanksgiving we gather to enjoy a potluck and each other’s company, and give our thanks. Everyone brings family and friends – from our congregation beyond our congregation, and there is always plenty of thanksgiving food!
If you are looking for a church home, we invite you to
Church of the Savior… a place for spiritual growth and opportunities
