About Us

Welcome!

Church of the Savior is a loving community seeking to follow Jesus by following his call to love our neighbors as ourselves (Matthew 22:37-39).  We are a Christian community committed to doing our part to build a world that is just for all people (Amos 5:24).

At Church of the Savior, you will find a group of loving people that come from a variety of religious backgrounds and life experiences.  We are a congregation that seeks to be diverse and welcomes people of all backgrounds.  All are welcome at Church of the Savior!  We believe God’s radical love and inclusion has no limits. We do not tolerate discrimination on the basis of gender identity, sexual identity, age, race, ethnicity, ability, or documentation status. 

Our congregation is small, but its love is far-reaching! Church of the Savior has partnerships with Muslim Space and Chaverim B’Kavanah, as part of our commitment to Interfaith relationships. Our congregation also has ministries created by our own members such as Foster Kindness, which help support local foster families, and our Backpack Ministry which helps families who experience food insecurity during the school year. 

You can also find members who do a lot of community work to support justice and equality in Austin and the surrounding communities. You will find members of Church of the Savior at protests, serving at Hill Country Community Ministries, and an Austin soup kitchen, writing letters to representatives to help support the work of amazing organizations like Results which seeks to address poverty on a global scale, and supporting the rights of refugees and asylum seekers with Southwest Good Samaritan Ministries.

You will always find a welcoming space that will extend love. We are here to support and love each member of our church community and to take that same love into our communities and world!  Join us!
